クラウド：必要ない。

No need.

 

ティファ：まあまあ、武器屋さんもたぶん今頃クラウドの評判を聞いてるよ。扱いが良くなってるかもよ。

C’mon, the dealer’s probably heard all about you by now. Might treat you better.

 

■dealer (n) a person who trades in something（名）販売業者

■treat (v) to behave towards someone or deal with something in a particular way（動）扱う、待遇する

 

クラウド：どうだろうな。

I dunno about that…

 

店主：ちょっと待ってくれ。どんなモンスターでも倒しちまうっていう雇い兵がいると聞いた。あんたがそうなのか？

Hold up. Heard there’s a merc that’ll take on any monster. You the man?

 

■hold up! (phrase)  wait a minute! （フレーズ）ちょっと待って!

■merc. = mercenary (n) someone who will carry out combat missions but aren’t part of an official organization（名）〔外国人の〕雇い兵、傭兵

店主：さっきは悪かったよ。景気が悪い時はイライラしちまうんだ。

あんたの仕事には武器が必要だろ？　そいつが合うかどうか試してみたらどうだい？ 店からの無料提供だ。

Sorry ‘bout before. I get antsy when business is slow. Man in your line of work needs weapons, no? Why not try that one on for size? Yours on the house.
