キリエ：何？　私じゃないですよ。人違いです。人生で一度も犯罪なんて犯したことないんだから！
What? It wasn’t me. You’ve got the wrong girl! Never committed a crime in my life!

クラウド：あんたがキリエか？

You Kyrie?

 

キリエ：キリエ？　誰ですか？　誰かは知らないけど、良い名前だね。

Kyrie? Who’s that? Can’t say I know her, but cool name.

 

ティファ：誰かが私達の友人から一ギル残らず奪っていったの。身に覚えは？

Someone mugged our friend and took every last gil he had. Sound familiar?

キリエ：ああ、そっちのこと？　なんだ、マジでやばいことかと思った。もう怖がらせないでよ！

Oh, that? I thought I was in actual trouble. Don’t scare me like that!

 

バレット：ああ、思い出したぞ。あん時の嬢ちゃんだろ。伍番街でガセネタを吹聴していたヤツだ。

Now I remember you. You’re that chick. The one who was spreadin’ lies in Sector 5.

 

■chick (n) a young woman. This word is considered offensive by many women（名）〈俗〉若い女性、お嬢さん＊侮蔑的な言葉だと主張する人もあるので使用に注意。

 

キリエ：あー、はいはい。そういうこともありましたね。ちょっと待って。そこの金髪くん、知ってるぞ！ みんなが話してた雇い兵だよね！　運が良いかも！　神羅に追われてるの。助けて。

Oh yeah, I did do that. Good times, good times. Hold on. I know you, blondie! You’re that merc everyone’s talking about! Maybe my luck’s not so bad. Shinra’s after me. You’ve gotta help me.

クラウド：神羅からもスッたのか？

キリエ：違う！　あ、まあ、あってるといえばあってるけど・・・混み入った話なの。だってあの人たちが神羅だなんて私に分かるわけないじゃん？　あのバカども、私を放っておいてはくれなくてさ。ぼろいカギを盗っただけなのに。どうせ、たいしたことじゃないのにさ。

No! Well, yes, sorta—it’s complicated. How was I supposed to know they were Shinra? And now those jerks won’t leave me alone! Even though all I took was some ugly key. I mean, what’s the big deal anyway?

…Oh great. So, everyone’s talking about it? Is this the end? Am I a dead woman? Do I have to go on the run? Leave Midgar forever and never look back?

ティファ：キリエ、お願い。とにかく友達から盗んだお金を返してくれない？　それと、ついでにカギも返して。

It’s a deal! Right about now, those Shinra creeps should be hanging out at the colosseum. They’re waiting for a special match to start, starring yours truly. It’s the talk of the town.

It’s a miracle you’ve managed to stay alive this long.

 

キリエ：誉め言葉として受け取っておくよ。さあさあ、とっとと行って私のトラブルを解決してきてね。

I’ll take that as a compliment. Now run along and clean up my mess.
