レスリー：コルネオはどこだ？

Where’s Corneo?

 

バレット：すまねぇ、あの野郎、逃げやがった。

Sorry. Bastard got away.

 

■bastard (n) an unpleasant person（名）〈米俗・軽蔑的〉不愉快なやつ、ろくでなし

■get away (phrase) escape （フレーズ）逃げる

 

レスリー：かまわない。いずれヤツの居場所を突き止めて捕まえるさ。他にやることもないしな。

It’s fine. I’ll track him down eventually. Not like I have anything better to do.

Can never be sure how much someone means to ya till they’re gone. Don’t give up on her yet.

ティファ：それ、”再会”の象徴だよ。

It’s a symbol of “reunion.”

 

レスリー：なら、彼女を見つけるのが先だな。ありがとな。

バレット：おっと、おまえさん、何かお忘れじゃないかい？

Hold up. I think ya might be forgetting something.

レスリー：忘れてないさ。あった。さあ、ここから出よう。そしたら上に行くのに必要なものをやるよ。

バレット：ああ！　思いっきり息ができるぜ！

Ahh! Taste that sweet Midgar smog!

 

レスリー：ワイヤーガンだ。

高出力になったモーターが装備されたこの銃なら実際空を飛ぶようなもんだぜ。七番街はあの壁の向こう側だ。この銃があれば、壁も瓦礫の山も越えていける。

Grappling guns. You can practically fly with the souped-up motors on these babies. Sector 7 is on the other side of that wall. The guns will get you over and past it, along with any number of other obstacles.
