ライアン：ゲイブ、ホントにヤバいって。カナダガンを殺すのは国際法違反だ。

Gabe, this is serious. Killing a Canadian goose is a violation of international law.

ライアン：もっとだ！　王立カナダ騎馬警察に埋めたのが見つかっちまう。

Deeper that that! The Royal Canadian Mounted Police can spot a goose grave at a hundred paces!

■spot (v) see, notice, or recognize sb/sth that is difficult to detect or that one is searching for（動）発見しにくい、もしくは探している人や物に気づく・見る

アレックス：人の感情への処理の仕方が、私ちょっとおかしくってさ。オーラみたいなのが見えるんだ。それで時には・・・それが強い感情だったりすると・・・影響をうけて、私も同調しちゃうの。

There’s something wrong with the way I process other people’s emotions. I see these…auras, I guess. And sometimes, if somebody’s feeling something…big…it sort of infects me, and I start feeling it too.

It’s –it’s only ever been the bad emotions before. But that—that was pure joy.

 

ライアン：他に誰が知ってるんだ？

アレックス：今の今まで誰にも言ったことないよ。これでマックがタイフォンに怯えてるのが分かったんだ。兄さんの電話のこと伝えてたのに会社がそれを無視した。そして今タイフォンはマックに命令に従えって圧力をかけてる。

I’ve never told anyone until now. And that’s how I know Mac’s terrified of Typhon. He reported Gabe’s call and they ignored it. Now they’re putting pressure on him to toe the line.

アレックス：まだ分かんない。爆破する決断をしたヤツがいる。まずはそいつが誰かを突き止めるところから始めてみるよ。

I don’t know yet. Someone made the decision to let the blast go off. Seems like finding out who would be a good start.

■stuck with sb/sth (phrase) forced to tolerate, deal with, or manage sb/sth（フレーズ）～と（良い意味で）離れられない状態、～と（悪い意味で）離れられない状態

＊この「be stuck with someone」は「離れられない関係・状態」を表しています。これ、シチュエーションによって、良い意味でも悪い意味でも使われます。離れずに済んで嬉しい場合と離れられず困る場合と両方ありますからねぇ。

 

アレックス：いいよ。じゃあ、組もうか？　刑事モノの相棒みたいに？

ライアン：あんたは何をしでかすか分からないヤツだ、チェン刑事。だが、結果は出す。

アレックス：今朝のお別れ会では何も話しませんでした。話せませんでした。兄が皆さんとこの町で過ごした日々を聞いて・・・私はその機会を失ってしまったから。でも、たった一日しか一緒にいられなかったけど・・・兄は私の人生を変えてくれました。私、ここが自分の居場所なのか分からないって言ったんです。そしたら、居場所は見つけるもんじゃない、自分でつくるもんなんだって言ってくれました。ずっと大好きだよ、兄さん。

I didn’t speak this morning. I couldn’t. Hearing everyone talk about him, about the life he had here, with all of you…I lost the chance to have that. But even though I only had one day with him…He changed my life. I said I didn’t know if I belonged, here. He told me that home isn’t something you find. It’s something you build. I love you, Gabe.
